Abstract | ||
Eleven fatty acids were identified by GLC analysis of the saponified fraction of the lipid content of S. cylindrical, Bojer leaves. A hydrocarbon and b-sitosterol were isolated from the unsaponifiable fraction and were identified by IR and GLC techniques. The unsaponifiable fraction of the root contained b-carotin. The plant saponins were also isolated and estimated. | ||
