Abstract | ||||
The research aimed mainly at planning an extension program to develop the knowledge of rural women in the field of food consumption rationalizing at Manshiat Abbas village, Siedi Salem district, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate The research was conducted in the Manshiat Abbas village, Siedi Salem district, Kafr El Sheikh Governorate. According to nature of this research in completing two previous studies for researchers (Shalaby et all, 2017), and (Al-Deeb, 2017) and based on their results in analyzing the current situation in the research area and the conditions and capabilities of researchers were Selection of respondents with high and medium cognitive guidance needs in the field of rationalization of consumption in the village in an intentional way to represent the sample of this basic research that will be planned for the program, which reached 128 respondents. The most important results of the research were as follows: The results showed that 3.1% of the respondents were not aware of the total indicative recommendations in the field of rationalizing food consumption, that 64.8% of them had a low overall knowledge level, and that 25.8% of the respondents had an average overall knowledge level in the field of rationalizing food consumption. A pilot program was planned based on the results of the research in studying the situation of the female respondents in the research area. | ||||
