Abstract | ||||
CALCIUM phosphate ceramics are considered as a family of the ……most important bio-inorganic materials used in biomedical applications. Calcium phosphates were prepared from eggshell waste and phosphoric acid after cleaning eggshell precursor and converting it to calcium oxide by calcination. The phases obtained from such reaction were dependent not only on the weight ratio of calcined eggshell powder and phosphoric acid (Ca/P) but also on the calcination temperature of the obtained mixture. Effects of Ca/P ratio and calcination temperature were studied and the phases obtained were evaluated using X-Ray Diffraction spectroscopy (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). | ||||
