Abstract | ||||
THE PRESENT work deals with the generation and synthesis of different heterocycles via the treatment of 3-(4-bromobenzoyl) prop-2-enoic acid (1) with thiourea, ethylcyanoacetate malononitrile & acetylacetone in presence of amm.acetate and / or piperidine , 2-amino-5-phthalimidomethy l1,3,4-thiadiazole, methyl thioglycolate 4-bromoaniline and ethylacetoacetate to afford Michael and aza-Michael adduct that cyclized by hydroxyl amine and hydrazine hydrate, respectively. Additionally, utility of 2-(2-amino-5-phthalimidomethyl 1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)-4-(4-bromophenyl)-4-oxo-butanoic acid (4) as a key starting material to synthesize some important heterocycles include fused oxoimidazolo [2,3-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazole. | ||||
