Abstract | ||||
The performance of the pile breakwater consisted of one row of vertical circular or square piles was investigated theoretically using the Eigenfunction expansion method. The transmission and the reflection coefficients were calculated for different wave and structure parameters. The validity of the theoretical model was examined by comparing the results with the theoretical and the experimental results from different studies. It was concluded that; the proposed theoretical model could be used efficiently to predict the performance of the pile breakwaters consisting of one row. | ||||
