Abstract | ||||
this study aimed at : - Determining anemia level among respondents lactating mother (by measuring their blood haemoglobin concentration ) . - determining anemia level among their infant. - evaluating the intake of meat group among respondents lactating. - determining the relationship between hemoglobin level of respondents and hemoglobin level of their infant . - determining the relationship between hemoglobin level of respondents lactating mother and their intake of meat group . - determining the relationship between hemoglobin level of respondents lactating mother and some socioeconomic characteristics like : their age , their education , husband education , number of sons , type of family and level of family income. - Data were collected through interview by using questionnaire from 100 rural lactating mother in Khafer ELdawar district in Behera Governorate .The result of this study indicated that: - All the respondents whether lactating mother or their infant were anemic . - 71 % of respondents lactating intake less than recommended daily from meat group. - There was significant positive relationships between hemoglobin concentration in lactating blood and : hemoglobin concentration in their infant blood ( r = 0,595 ) , their mothers weekly intake from animal protein ( meat ,fish and poultry ) ( r = 0, 248 ) , and their family income ( r =0, 288 ). . | ||||
