Abstract | ||||
Stem anatomy, stomatal types and stomatal index along with morphological characters of six Chenopodium species namely: C. album, C. ficifolium, C. ambrosioides, C. glaucum, C. murale and C. quinoa were investigated by using light microscopy. Two types of stomata were recorded: Anisocytic type commonly recorded in five species, while anomocytic recorded only in C. ambrosioide. Leaf epidermal anatomy revealed great taxononmic value which can be used for the identification of species. Artificial key was provided for the identification of the studied species. | ||||
