Abstract | ||||
The relationship between good governance and human development is one of the issues raised in contemporary economic literature, which has been the subject of many discussions and different points of view. This study aims to measure the relationship between good governance and sustainable human development in Egypt, during the period from 1996 to 2017, and the Johansen Co-integration method was used as a first step, then using the Vector Error Correction (VEC). The results indicate the absence of a long-term relationship between good governance and human development in Egypt, but in the short term the variable of voice and accountability and the variable of political stability and the absence of violence have a statistically weak moral impact on human development, but in a negative way, while the variables of government effectiveness and the quality of the organization and sovereignty Law and anti-corruption have had no statistically significant impact on human development in Egypt. | ||||
