Abstract | ||||
The article is talking about the seventh hour of the book of the gates. The book describes sun god "Ra"s trip to the underworld in his boat starting from the time of sunset for the twelve hours of the night to reach the kingdom of Osiris where the judgment of the dead in the hall of Osiris, the life of the blessed and the enemies of the sun god are depicted. The book of gates is divided into twelve parts; each is equivalent of an hour of time. There is a gate before every hour and guards with different names for every gate. (The dead must know their name to pass the gate and reach the hour). Every hour is divided into three registers (horizontal sections). | ||||
