Abstract | ||||
Trichomoniasis plays a crucial role in causing some health problems such as ectopic pregnancy, undesirable outcomes of pregnancy and infertility. This study evaluated the role of T. vaginalis in infertile women and assessed the relationship between trichomoniasis and female infertility in unexplained primary or secondary infertilities. A total of 90 female patients suffered from infertility were examined for trichomoniasis by Giemsa stained wet mount smears as a diagnostic reference. The results showed that T. vaginalis was 9/90 (10%) by culture method with significance with primary unexplained infertility. | ||||
