Abstract | ||||
A 90-day trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of three different protein levels (25%, 30%, and 35% CP) and two different carbon sources (sugarcane bagasse and wheat flour) on the growth performance, feed utilization and survival rate of the white-leg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei in zero –water exchange tanks. Six biofloc treatments and one control (45% CP) without biofloc were managed. Final body weight, weight gain, specific growth rate and protein efficiency ratio were highly affected " interaction "(P < 0.01) by different protein levels (25%, 30%, and 35% CP) and different carbon sources (sugarcane bagasse and wheat flour). Survival rates ranging from 72.2% to 83.3%, and there were no significant differences (P > 0.05) among all treatments. There were no significant differences (P > 0.05) in moisture, crude protein and lipid among six biofloc and control treatments. | ||||
