| Several anesthetic techniques have been used for elderly patients including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, intravenous sedation and monitored anesthesia care. However, anesthesiarelated mortality in these patients is still high. All old patients going through surgeries require a preprocedural assessment to evaluate the dangers of sedation and method and to oversee issues identified with the previous ailments, checking patients during intraprocedural and postprocedural periods just as postprocedural the executives. The decision of sedation is affected by a few factors, for example, the patient's ailment, type and length of medical procedure, just as experience of anesthesiologist and specialist. For old patients, an anesthesiologist is in the end mindful to pick the anesthestic strategy that is generally suitable for the patient and the specialist. Certain insignificant necessities should be met for all older patients going through a sedation. A few anesthestic strategies can be securely accomplished for the older patients. In rundown, old patients are solely helpless and especially touchy to the anxieties of hospitalization, sedation and surgery.
