Abstract | ||||
The aim of the current research is to prepare a training program based on the use of a strategy of discrete trial to develop the skill of joint attention in children with autism spectrum disorder, and the research used the quasi-experimental approach to design one experimental group, and the research sample consisted of(8) children(5 males, 3 females) of ages. The time period ranged between(3:9)years, and a set of tools were applied, including the scale of common attention skill for children with autism spectrum disorder(preparation of the research), the Diagnostic Child Autistic Scale(CARS2)(Qodan Zaidan Al-Sartawi, Tarish Al-Shammari, 2010), and the training program( Research preparation), The results of the research indicated the effectiveness of the training program based on the use of the strategy of separate attempts to develop the skill of joint attention in children with autism spectrum disorder. There are no statistically significant differences in the skill of joint attention between the mean of the post and tracer measures of the research sample of children with autism spectrum disorder, and statistically significant differences were found between children of average autism spectrum disorder and severe autism spectrum disorder in the joint attention skill. | ||||
