Abstract | ||||
The study sought to identify the informational behavior of assistants of faculty members in theoretical colleges at the University of South Valley in Qena, with the aim of knowing the paths that teaching assistants and teaching assistants take in obtaining information and the sources they prefer to research, identifying the difficulties they face and their proposals to overcome them. The study sample consisted of (54) teaching assistants and assistant teachers enrolled in the theoretical colleges' understudy for the academic year (2017-2018). The results of the study showed that there is a variation in the information search behaviors of the study sample and their need to visit libraries and other information centers to obtain information Because of the poor library services provided in the libraries of their colleges, the study recommended the need to pay attention to establishing a central library at South Valley University to meet the information needs of researchers, and to pay attention to colleges' libraries and their staff, and to train teaching assistants and assistants to use online information search strategies. | ||||
