Abstract | ||||
This paper discusses the characteristics of the Cockerell device for wave power extraction. A system consists of one pontoon contoured wave and solitary wave vas considered. The effect of both on atheoretically vas pontoons characteristics on the extracted power investigated. Curves are presented showing the variation of the extracted power with time during wave propagation for various values length, pontoons and flow of Froude number, head of undisturbed flow and pontoons length, whils the pontoons thickness and material specific gravity have a neligible effect on the extracted power. | ||||
