Abstract | ||||
In this work the frictional properties of single and plyed yarns were studied. The yarn coefficient of friction was found to be affected by the sliding speed over guides, yarn count and guide diameter. The method of twisting (ring or two-for-one) was also found to have a substantial influence on the friction behavior of plyed yarns. | ||||
