Abstract | ||||
SUMMARY A lyophilized rinderpest vaccine experimental prepared from Kabete "O" attenuated strain was produced and tested for safety, purity, serological response and potency for use in Saudi Arabia under field condition. A total of 260 serum samples were collected from sheep and goat farms previously vaccinated with rinderpest vaccine. Neutralizing antibodies were determined against peste des petits ruminant virus (PPR). The vaccinated animals produced high protective level of neutralizing antiodies between 0.3 - 1.0 Log 10/ml ) in sheep and [ 0.6 - 1.5 log 10/ml ] in goats. | ||||
