Abstract | ||||
Several Trimetoqunoi (TMQ) derivatives were prepared and evaluated for their action on both B- adrenergic and thromboxane A2/prostaglandin H2 (TP) receptor systems. These particular derivatives explored the importance of TMQ's chiral center, the homologation of previously described N-benzyl derivatives, and various modifications of TMQ's trisubstituted benzyl group to probe receptor affinities. The results of this studies indicated that TMQ's chiral center is important for receptor interactions. Elongation of an N-Benzyl substituent fails to imporove potency, but modifications of the trisubstituted benzyl group has provided a new lead for modified TMQ derivatives with enhanced activity in TP receptor systems. | ||||
