Abstract | ||||
Fifty random samples of diiferent brands of mill/. powder were nnlie':t— ed from different localities In Cairn and its £H“H"3s to he save-nirred lc‘-r incidence, enumwra-ti:-n, isolation and i-iizri-':.“':.a;i:1.-\ nf ~:.¢i.=-"fin. Examination of samples revealed the presence cf clristrirlial r-:_: afsrns in 28% oi examined samples with a mean count cf 3857 $.17/ml. Chperfrlngens proved to be present in 16% of examined samples while Cl-oceanlcum. Chbiiermentans and Chcadaveris were present at variable percentage: ranging from h% to 12%. Serological identification of Cl.perfringens proved the toxigcnicity of la strains, two strains belonged to type "A" ard the other two strains beinnged ta type "ii". The economic and public health importance mi isolated cl»1sL@i‘;.=' organisms as well as suggested measures for img:;rJ-.'ing the quz-.li'r'y io the product have been discussed. | ||||
