Abstract | ||||
A relaxant effect was achieved by praziquantel on the rat thoracic aortic strip preparations which might be of cholinergic nature. Praziquantel produced an acetylcholine-like effect on the perfused rabbit's heart. A transient hypotensive effect and respiratory depression and altered ECG were traced. These effects revealed the peripheral cholinergic effects of the drug. | ||||
