The costal musculature or muscles responsible for the movements of the ribs are described in detalis. Nine muscles are present and are investigated. These muscles are: The iliocostal (17), dorsal costo-vertebral (op 4), outer and inner costo-cutaneous (op 5a & b), supracostal (18), cervical costo-vertebral (9), subco stal (24), ventral vertebro-costal (op 7) and tuberculo-costal (op 8). | ||||
