Abstract | ||||
Clinical manifestations and blood changes were studied in 10 buffalo and 5 calves following experimental Infection with toxigenio strain of C.pseudotuberculosis. A slight species difference in the clinical picture between buffaloes and cattle was observed. Cattle showed a tendency to leucocytosis than buffaloes. A gradual decrease in total erythrocytic count, haemoglobin and packed cell volume was observed in both buffaloes and cattle. Serum GOT and GPT were increased after infection in both animal species, while blood urea nitrogen showed initial drop, then it began to rise until it reached a level above the normal. | ||||
