Abstract | ||||
The proble of the study can be summarized in the pollution of Qaroon lake through factories and agricultural drainage in the lake, which affect water quality and consequently affect the quantity and the quality of the produced fish. The research aimed at studying the following: - The progress of fish production of the lake through the period (2000-2013) for the various types of fish. - The evolution of lake water analysis in the same period. - The impact of water quality on the fish production through conducting meetings on the field level in Qaroon lake; (the meetings included various age categories). The meetings showed the awareness of the civil society of the problems and they suggested some solutions about sources of pollution, fishing methods and the prices and selling methods of various fish varieties. The main results were as followed:- - All elements in water samples increased through the study period which reflects the continuous drainage with various pollutants in addition to increasing of biological pollution ratio. - Intensive fishing using unequal nets is the main method of fishing used in the lake, which affect negatively the growth of fish in the lake. - The research suggests a mechanism to conducts fees against lake drainage pollution, also the research recommended the emphasis of governmental control on the firms which drainage its wastes directly in the lake. | ||||
