Abstract | ||||
The research aimed to identify the most important variables affecting the response of cultivated areas of Faba bean, and to estimate the degree of response to the most important variables affecting the response of the areas planted of Faba bean in Egypt. the results of estimating function of supply response to the variables associated with the Faba bean crop the elasticity of the response of Faba bean supply with respect to feddan productivity and total costs was about 1.77,-0.26 on in the order, while the annual response factor was about -0.77 and 1.21 . and the results of estimating supply response function using some variables of competing crops indicate that there is an inverse relationship It is economically logical between the area planted with municipal beans in the current year (T) as a dependent variable, and the farm price of alfalfa in pounds in the previous year, as it was found that there is an economically logical direct relationship between the area planted with municipal beans in thousand feddan in the current year (T) and the costs of lentil and alfalfa crops in pounds in the previous year .The research therefore recommends 1- The study showed the farmer's response to farm prices, production costs, net return competing crops therefore must provide information and guidance on prices, costs and net return these crops, so that the farmer can make his decision 2- Attention to the development of an appropriate price policy for production requirements in order to reduce the production costs of these crops to increase net return and encourage cultivation . | ||||
