Abstract | ||||
Development depends on various substrates comes in the forefront the investment, as well as the capacity of the national economy contained land, human and technological resources. Expenditure on investment leads to increased aggregate demand and stimulates the economy in its entirety and creates jobs and increase incomes. Investment means the flow of assets perennials that work either to increase the ability in the future to produce products or to create benefits for the consumer. The investment is associated with the climate societal attraction of this investment, the social stability, and economic and legal. From this point the investment tries to achieve increases in income and activate various economic sectors, especially the agricultural sector, which is investment is consider as essential factor in development, since it is the sector that at least 55% of the Egyptian society live on its services and production. As a result of the limited domestic savings and the decline in domestic and foreign investment due to unfavorable conditions, this passes by the Egyptian society, especially after the revolution of January 25, 2011. The research problem presented by the poor size of investments and the efficiency and the weakness of its influence to push the rate of economic growth in general and the growth rate of the commodity sectors especially the agricultural sector, and to achieve the aim of the research we studied the following issues: 1- Some economic indicators associated with the investment during the period (2000- 2012). 2- Reasons of the decline in volume and the efficiency of investment in Egypt with special focus on the agricultural sector. The study proved the weakness of domestic investment and foreign direct investment, due to the presence of a wide range of problems and obstacles facing investors, which negatively affect the investor and the challenge of appealing to invest in Egypt, and even make them repulsive to invest. Examples of these ingredients outbreak of bureaucracy in government sectors and services, the length of proceedings, the high cost of some services, the infrastructure, the inadequate promotion for foreign investment, poor efficiency of the activities of scientific and technological research, the lack of adequate information to the investor for the domestic market and lack of accuracy. In addition to what has happened in the Egyptian society after the January 25 revolution of the loose of security and lack of political and economic stability, and blurry vision in front of the investor for the future. It has to take care of all these ingredients and start the next phase in true orientation through the preparation of the society and the Egyptian market to be attractive to foreign investment, in order to move the economy and society towards progress and development. | ||||
