Abstract | ||||
The research was performed in Al-Qamishly fields to study effects of climatic conditions on physiological and productive features of the cumin in order to determine the investing ability of its economic farming in the lands of this region. This is why growing cumin in 2005 - 2006 was conducted in Amouda region where the rainfalls and the prevailing temperature during the development time and their effects on the physiological and productive features have been studied. The obtained results showed that it is possible to grow cumin crop in Amouda fields in the second farming date (the second half of february) where the production was increased clearly because of the positive reactions of the physiological indications on the environmental conditions which are prevailing in these fields in that period of time (during the plants growing time) compared to the first date for farming (the first of February) which is distinguished by a drop in the temperature during the first growing stage this is considered the most important developing stages for the cumin plant which helps the development and continuity of the active growth. Moreevers, it is evident that the crop is increasing remarkably when mineral fertilizers are added on an average of N15 P15 K15/donem as an active material and by means of planting on lines 3.5 Kg/donem. | ||||
