Abstract | ||||
The present work was conducted to study the effect of gamma irradiation 60Co of a wide range of doses from 5-100 Gy for soybean seeds on the germination, chlorophyll a and b as well as carotenoids. Also, changes in biochemical contents of carbohydrates, DNA and RNA and proteins of soybean leaves were investigated. The results obtained cleared that, the germination percentage of soybean seeds increased up to 100% with respective dose of 40 Gy. Also, the maximum chlorophyll a, b and carotenoid contents were increased at the same dose. Besides, activation in carbohydrates, ribonucleic acids and proteins were detected. | ||||
