Abstract | ||||
This research is an attempt to extrapolate the technique of symbolism in the poetry of Hathlien, as one of the most important techniques that gave the poet the ability to depict his emotional concerns and emotions, and the secret of his emotional composition, and all his thoughts, opinions, comments or criticisms towards life, which may not be clearly declared. Therefore, the pot resorts to allusions which are more suggestive and more aesthetic. The research is divided into two parts, the first of which is theoretical, where the researcher tackles the concept of symbolism linguistically and terminologically, and followed by a brief explanation on symbolism between modernity and heritage, while the second part is practical, where the researcher follows some uses of imagery in Hathlien poetry in three areas: debris, women and animals, and each of these signs was dealt with in a detailed way by following the symbol it carries. | ||||
