Abstract | ||||
The Hamziyya poem about the conquest of Mecca: ʻAfat Dhat Al-Asabiʻ is within the famous poems in the pro-Islamic period. This fame was only for aesthetic and contextual reasons: historical and military; identified in the analysis of this poetic discourse, which is transmitted by narration and circulation. From here we reviewed what was written about this poem but we found that it didn’t fulfill the analysis we hope. We have tracked these readings, and then we saw that the analysis approach of this discourse required that we begin to document it through the historical methodology, proving the correct text of the Hamziyya; because the doubtful verses are very confused in this discourse. We then proceeded to analyze the aesthetic and artistic elements that breathed life into the poem: construction, image, and music. Through these elements we addressed the question of unity in the poem, about which there are different points of view. | ||||
