Abstract | ||||
The cognitive roots of speech acts in the Arabic cognitive context extend to the second century AH, where this branch was dealt by the science of usoolul-fiqh (fundamentals of jurisprudence), language, syntax and then by rhetoric. This was centuries earlier than discussing the same issue by the Oxford language philosophers, afterwards the modern Arabic attempts were confined in the applied approaches which were concentrated, mostly, on the subject of the Holy Qur'an. And this study is an attempt to examine both the theoretical and applicable levels. | ||||
