Abstract | ||||
Warfare was considered an essential crucial element in the ancient Egyptian culture, particularly in the New Kingdom; with the imperial age of Egypt and the presence of a series of brilliant, mighty military pharaohs who developed many strategies and tactics of war. This paper will argue the use of Psychological warfare as a means of military tactic in the Eighteenth Dynasty of the new kingdom. it will propose the employment of psychological element to influence enemies, lowering their morale and installing fear and terror in their hearts. This paper will discuss the various techniques of this type of warfare. it includes different examples of harsh penalties used by the pharaohs of the New kingdom to frighten and intimidate the rebels. It will also propose the use of degrading imagery and derogatory comments to belittle the ability and the quality of their enemies in order to prevent fear or awe from them. | ||||
