Abstract | ||||
The Institutional Repository is one of the most important pillars of scientific communication between researchers and scientific institutions since the academic community is one of the most prominent communities in which there is an obvious correlation between the academic community and the available information sources on the internet. It is necessary to apply appropriate policies and strategies for the free access to information considering that the institutional repositories, related to universities, institutions, institutes and research and educational organizations, always seek to incorporate the intellectual production of their researchers in one or more fields according to the institutional repository planned coverage and free access availability to this intellectual production to all beneficiaries in accordance with the determined policies. Undoubtedly, the academic community needs a free access to knowledge so university libraries play a vital role in supporting the free access without legal orfinancial restrictions by contributing to support and build the institutional repositories and free access periodicals and offering different types of support for all beneficiaries. | ||||
