Abstract | ||||
This study aimed to identify the awareness of the importance of the voluntary work in serving the society among Muscat college students as well as to investigate the influence of the independent variables: gender, specialization, and the current year of the student. The stratified random sample consisted of 90 students and the researcher used a questionnaire to test the students’ awareness. The instrument consisted of 30 statements covering three dimensions. A group of specialists in educational and social sciences tested the instrument’s validity and reliability through internal consistency. The results showed that the students’ level of awareness of the importance of the voluntary work in serving the society is high. The results also showed that there were no statistical differences towards that due to the variable of gender, specialisation and the current academic year the student in. | ||||
