Abstract | ||||
Research Summary: Many cities and urban areas fall within the scope of natural disasters or the scope of industrial disasters, as if the effects of these disasters and wars are more complicated and worse than before. Which requires a review of the design of emergency architecture and temporary housing projects to provide better assistance to these vulnerable communities, so we need to start building better shelters and longer-term infrastructure that better meet social, cultural and environmental needs as an attempt to meet the needs of the refugee population more humanely. The research problem Lack of financial resources for refugee housing projects and having to implement them with minimal capabilities in a manner that is not commensurate with the human level and ignoring environmental and climatic conditions and social life. Thus, the research aims to reach an integrated approach to designing, planning, managing, and implementing refugee housing projects and providing a set of sustainable urban architectural alternatives to develop the camp following climatic conditions and environmental, social, and humanitarian determinants. Research methodology: The study relied first on the analytical curriculum by presenting, analyzing, and evaluating the case study (Zaatari refugee camp) and then the applied curriculum by setting a set of architectural alternatives and the planning proposal for the neighborhood residential within the camp. | ||||
