Abstract
قدّم أفلاطون عدد من النظريات حول طبيعة الشعر والشعراء ودورهم في المجتمع، وکان موقف أفلاطون من الشعر مُحيرًا ما بين المدح والقدح، وکان هجوم أفلاطون علي الشعراء ونقده لدورهم السلبي في المجتمع أحد أهم الأسباب التي دعت بعض الباحثين لإساءة تفسير آراء أفلاطون عن الشعر والشعراء. يحاول الباحث من خلال بحثه تتبع ما کتبه أفلاطون عن الشعر والنواحي الوظيفية له ودور الشاعر الحقيقي في مجتمعه، والاختلاف بين الشاعر والفيلسوف وذلک للوصول إلى حقيقة ما کتبه أفلاطون عن النواحي الوظيفية للشعر ودور الشعراء من خلال نظرية الإلهام وتصور أفلاطون عن الدور الإيجابي للشعراء. استخدم الباحث المنهج الاستقرائي التحليلي في دراسة آراء وأفکار أفلاطون، القائم علي تحليل المصادر الأساسية، والوصول من خلال دراسة الجزئيات إلى الاستنتاج الکلي المتعلق بفرضية البحث. Plato presents a number of theories about the nature of poetry and poets and their role in society, and Plato's attack on poets and his criticism of their negative role in society was one of the most important reasons for some researchers to misinterpret Plato's views on poetry and poets, this research, tries to trace what Plato wrote about poetry, its functional aspects, the role of a true poet in his society, and the difference between a poet and a philosopher, in order to reach the truth of what Plato wrote about the functional aspects of poetry and the role of poets through the theory of inspiration and Plato's perception of the positive role of poets. The researcher used the inductive analytical method in studying the opinions and ideas of Plato, which is based on analyzing the basic sources, and arriving, through the study of particles, to the overall conclusion related to the research hypothesis.
