Abstract | ||||
The current research aimed to develop a proposed scenario for the activities of student unions to develop environmental citizenship among secondary school students and some groups of the local community. The researchers relied on the descriptive approach and the semi-experimental approach, and the use of one experimental group. The researchers prepared a list of the dimensions of environmental citizenship and prepared the proposed perception for the activities of the student unions. It consisted of three main activities interspersed with a group of sub-activities that were applied for a month to the research group, and a scale was prepared. Environmental citizenship consists of three dimensions (environmental responsibility, environmental justice, and environmental cooperative work). Applying the scale before and after on the research group consisting of (35) male and female students and (15) members of the local community. The research ended with a number of results, the most important of which are: There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group in the tribal and remote measurements of the environmental citizenship scale with its dimensions in favor of the post measurement. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of some groups of the local community and the experimental group in the tribal and remote measurements of the environmental citizenship scale by removing it in favor of the post measurement. | ||||
