Abstract | ||||
in the present work, six adult goats were used for experimental study. The motility pattern of the rumen, reticulum, ab omasum (fundus - antrum) and duodenum was recorded before and after ruminal distension by means of electromyography using IDM Computer and volt Amplifier. It was found that the fundus and pyloric antrum of the abomasum in goats is the first organ of the gastro-intestinal tract to be affected by ruminal distension. This effect may cause total absence of the fundus motility as evidenced by lack of any mechanical and myo-electrical activity. | ||||
