Abstract | ||||
Palm trees is one of the important components of fruits crops which has a great and direct economic effect on both national and individual level. Siwa Oasis is one of the main Territories which product this kind of fruits as it has approximately quarter million of palm trees. Recently the problems of production in the Oasis constrained in the low of the average productivity of palm trees, therefore the research aims to identify most important and limited factors affecting decreasing productivity of palm trees in the Oasis. The result showed:- 1-The relative affection of feddan productivity and relative area change on total decreasing production was 80.9% and 15.7% respectively, but the joint affection was about 3.4%. 2- The input for palm tree through one season was 1.4 labor unit and 0.88 k.g chemical fertilizer as it gives 67.0 k.g of palm. 3-The determination factor for changes in production was 83.0% due to cultivated area, the quantity of organic fertilizer, the number of palm trees and the quantity of labor. 4- The production didn't reach the optional level which a chives profits for producers as the price for cne ton of product was about 886.0 pound which exceeded the marginal cost as it was 495.88 pound. 5- The more affective factors of farm operations on production as it represents about 99% were organic fertilizer operation, pollination operation, harvest operation, digging and grass refinement operation. 6- The index number of problems that faced producers were 9.27 which reflected high density of these problems. 7 - The research recommends To a chive the Economic Efficiency farmers must use the optional combinations from fiscal production factors The problems That faced producers which affected the production efficiency must be solved. especially the high level of under ground water. | ||||
