Abstract | ||||
Background: Alopecia areata (AA) is a common immune-mediated condition characterized by non-scarring hair loss. The aim of this study was to assess the plasma concentration level of Claudin 3 in patients with alopecia areata and its correlation with the disease severity. Methods: This study included 60 cases of alopecia areata of different types, and 20 apparently healthy volunteers as controls with matched age and sex.
