| Abstract | ||||
| Reinforcedconcreteelevated water tanks have been considered as a major element of the water distribution networks. The seismic design loads for this construction, like other structural systems, are based on the concept of permeating plastic deformationsduringearthquakes to minimise the design elastic force, which is determined by the structure'sability to dissipateinducedseismicenergy. The values of the R Factorsadopted in the most national and international codes dose not distinguishbetweenseveralfactors like the seismic zones, the vertical and horizontal configuration of framedsupportingelements, the responsespectrumfunction type. Thus, the necessity of enhancing the seismicresistancecapacity of the elevatedtanks is put forward. This workgives a thorough investigation into the estimation of the Response Modification Factor (R) for raisedliquid and water tanks made of reinforcedconcrete. developed in accordance withEgyptianload code ECP-201 (2012)[1]. Firstly. A verification application of the algorithm of nonlinearpushoveranalysis is made to compare the outcomes of the application withpreviouslypublished case study. Then, an comprehensiveparametricstudy is performed on two configurations of R.C. Elevated tanks, considering the variation of the tank height, the seismic zones, the tank capacity, the responsespectrumfunction type comprise 108 case study. The obtainedresultswhich is higherthan the adopted conservative values in the different codes enhance the understanding of the factorsaffecting the R factor. تعتبر الخزانات الخرسانية المرتفعة عن سطح الأرض أحد العناصر الرئيسية في نظام نقل وتوزيع شبکات المياه ويتم تصميم هذه الخزانات لمقاومة الزلازل باتباع ذات الطرق المتبعة في باقي المنشآت والتي تعتمد على تخفيض القوى والاحمال التصميمية المرنة بالسماح بحدوث تشکلات لدنة تعتمد على قدرة المنشأ على امتصاص الطاقة الناشئة عن الزلازل وذلک باستخدام معامل تخفيض القوى الزلزالية. ومن المعروف ان قيمة معامل تخفيض القوى التصميمية الزلزالية المتبعة سواء في الکود المصري او الاکواد العالمية لا تأخذ بالاعتبار الکثير من العوامل المؤثرة على قدرة المبنى على مقاومة الزلازل مثل المنطقة الزلزالية والتخطيط الرأسي والأفقي للهيکل الخرساني الحامل للخزان وشکل دالة ‘طيف الاستجابة الزلزالية ومن هنا نشأت الضرورة الى تحسين الفهم الخاص بالعوامل المؤثرة على معامل تخفيض القوى الزلزالية. وفى هذ البحث يتم تقديم دراسة شاملة للعوامل المؤثرة على تحديد قيمة معامل تخفيض القوى الزلزالية للخزانات الخرسانية السابق تصميمها طبقا للکود المصري الحالي للأحمال اصدار 2012. وقد تم في البداية التحقق من کفاءة تطبيق الأسلوب المتبع في برامج العناصر المحددة على أحد الأمثلة السابق نشرها. وتم بعد ذلک تنفيذ دراسة بارا ميتريه تعتمد على تغيير التخطيط الرأسي للهيکل الحامل للخزان وتغيير ارتفاع وکتلة المياه المستخدمة وتغيير المناطق الزلزالية وتغير شکل منحنى طيف التجاوب والتي شکلت 108 حالة تمت دراستها وتحديد قيمة معامل تخفيض القوى الزلزالية. وقد خلصت الدراسة الحالية الى عدم ثبات قيمة معامل تخفيض القوى الزلزالية وان الاکواد المختلفة الحالية تعطى قيم متحفظة وثابتة لهذا المعامل. | ||||
