This research aims to identify the effect of pomegranate molasses(P.M) with or without vitamin C on improving the status of Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) level in thirty female rats . Anemia was induced in all the groups except group 1 (Normal Control), The rest rats were divided to four groups as following as: group 2 was fed on basic diet only without treated as positive group(+ve) , group ( 3) received Ferose 1gm 10mg/kg body weight dissolved in water daily, group (4) rats fed on 5 ml of pomegranate molasses and group ( 5) rats fed on 5 ml of pomegranate molasses with vitamin C 1gm (100mg/1kg g body weight) .The best results were in pomegranate molasses with vitamin C, where the highest increase in weight gain, food intake , feed efficiency , iron , ferritin, White blood cells( WBC) , red blood cells (RED) ,hemoglobin( HGB)- and Lymphocytes (LYM) and decrease in total iron binding capacity (TIPC) , Mid-range absolute count )MID(, Granulocyt neutrophil (GRA) and Procalcitonine (PCT) compared with positive group.
