Abstract | ||||
The research aims to identify the economic importance. the production and consumption situation of the poultry sector and the most important factors affecting the consumption demand for white meat in Egypt during the period (2000-2019). The total value of domestic production may range between 4505 million pounds as a minimum in 2000. and 75340 million pounds as a maximum in 2019. with an annual average of about 24188.10 million pounds during (2000-2019). and by estimating the general temporal trend of the value of domestic production during the same period It was found that it took a general. increasing trend. The results also indicate: that the amount of domestic consumption of poultry meat ranges between two limits. the lowest of which is about 512 thousand tons in 2002. while its maximum reached about 1354 thousand tons in 2019 and with an annual average of about 779.70 thousand tons. and the estimated directional relationship shows that It took a general. increasing trend. statistically significant. The results show: When estimating the factors affecting consumption demand using the logarithmic double-phased model. it was statistically significant at the level of significance (0.01). and the signs of the function parameters agreed with the economic logic. | ||||
