Abstract | ||||
The aim of this paper is to deal with the political jokes of the Egyptian Revolution in 2011. It aims at resolving the ambiguity of the jokes using the scale of specificity, which focuses on linguistc and nonlinguistics aspects such as sociopragamtics.The paper also argues that to understand the joke, one needs both a linguistic and nonlinguistic knowledge. | ||||
