Abstract | ||||
The objective of this study is to determine both knowledge degrees and implementation degrees of two groups. One of them which were involved in the extension field and the other group (compared farmers) on practices related to plant cotton intercropped with Wheat, Also is to determine differences in knowledge and implementate degrees of the two groups. This research was carried out in the two biggest area districts that were planted by cotton intercropped with wheat; they were Quessna and Elshahada in El- Menoufia governorate. The sample of this study was consisted of: (1) 41 farmers represent 363% of the total number of extension field farmers, (2) 41 farmers from compared fields all were chosen randomly. Data were collected by using a pretested questionnaire through personal interview during July, August 2006. Percentages, frequencies, arithmetc mean, standard deviation, " T " test to analym data statistically The most important findings were as follows: 1- The majority of extension fields farmers had high knowledge degrees for practices concerning planting cotton intercropped with wheat. 2- The majority of extension fields farmers had high implementation degrees for practices concerning planting cotton intercropped with wheat. 3- There were significant differences at 0.05, 0.01 level between farmers knowledge degrees of extension fields and compare farmers for all practices concerning planting cotton intercropped with wheat except one practice. 4- There were significant differences at 0.01 level between farmers implementation degrees of extension fields and comparative farmers for practices concerning planting cotton intercropped with wheat. | ||||
