Abstract | ||||
Foodborne diseases are critical and become a greater problem over a while. World Health Organization shows that every year 420 000 die from eating contaminated food. Foodborne diseases are any illness resulting from pathogenic bacteria, viruses, and contaminated food. It is important to analyze the food and detect foodborne Bacteria to prevent or minimize diseases and ensure food safety. The designed system aims to detect the foodborne bacteria present in fruits using rapid detection technique instead of traditional methods. Many areas will be impacted by this early detection, for example, the economy, health, and agriculture societies. The system is divided into 3 main parts. First, Extracting DNA from food sample. Then sensing and signal manipulation part and finally signal analysis and bacteria detection. Electrochemical biosensors used for bacteria examination. 27 samples including tomato and apple samples were tested. The results show that each test takes from 12 to 500 seconds not including DNA extraction period with accurate results and cost-friendly. | ||||
