Abstract | ||||
This paper explores the deterioration aspects were found due to suffering from several degradation factors during the previous museum exhibition for archaeological piece, the research deals with the treatment and maintenance of one of the pieces of fabric preserved in the Museum of the Faculty of Applied Arts under number of 119/99, after it was found in a severe state of deterioration that led to the weakness of its fibers and the erosion of many areas in it, and therefore the study aims to cleaning it, strengthen , supporting, and equip it for the appropriate exhibition and by using the needle on the background of dyed linen., the new is the application of the technique of knitting with a concept based on the use of threading was used in the initial temporary installation before restoration as a supporting method.
