Abstract | ||||
Daniel Kehlmann (born 1975) is a German-language novelist of both Austrian and German Nationality. With his 90 pages narrative, his fantastic story is scary, it is about a young author who tries to keep balance between a successful author, a perfect husband and a loving father . The man has to finish his successful comedy film. He lives with his characters Jana und Ella, designs silly dialogues and has various quarrels with his wife Susanna. In his story he plays with elements of the horror literature. He feels the place is haunted and he finds himself traped and he cannot escape . The more the hallucinations connect with reality, the more the world becomes a conspiracy. Kehlmann focussed in his story on the feminine characters Jana, Ella and Susanna and he presented a story about reality and fiction. | ||||
