Abstract | ||||
The present article is dedicated to the collocations and emphasizes their relevance in GFL lessons. The collocations as part of the German vocabulary should be consciously trained in GFL lessons. The students often make mistakes when the collocations are taught unconsciously. The German textbook Menschen A1, which is used in university teaching nationwide in Egypt, is analyzed with regard to noun-verb collocations in order to check to what extent the collocations are present in this textbook and how they are introduced. The article also tries to determine whether this textbook contributes to the development of collocation competence and collocation awareness of the students. | ||||
