Abstract | ||||
Water exchange between Lake Burullus and the Mediterranean Sea was addressed in the present study using two methods. The first method assessed the distribution of salinity at three stations located along with a profile of 180m long in front of El-Boughaz. The second method represented a current measurement by a means of an ADCP deployed in the center of the profile for 24 hours during December 2019 and October 2020. The two methods clarify the existence of a two-flow system. The characteristics of this flow can be identified by Reynolds number (Re) and Richardson number (Ri). The calculated values revealed that the water flow is turbulent and unstable. | ||||
