Abstract | ||||
The toxic and biochemical effects of six medicinal plant oils (Pepperminent, Marjorana , Lavender, Sweet basil, Speerment and Artemisia) on Sitophiius zeamais were investigated in the laboratory. Marjorana hortensis oil was more toxic to the insect than the other tested oils. The L050 treatment of all test oils caused depletion in total proteins, lipids and carbohydrates . Disturbance (increase or decrease)were found in amylase. transaminases(GOT& GPT) and acetylcholine esterase enzymes activities of the treated weevils | ||||
